Terms & Conditions for RTC Courses 2026

Please read through the following Terms & Conditions before making an on-line booking for your training course:

  • The full course or tuition fee is payable to South Cerney Sailing Club (SCSC) at the time of booking; all participants must register and pay online prior to the start of the course.

  • A minimum of three participants is required for a course to be run. Courses not achieving this level may be rescheduled at short notice.

  • Should SCSC cancel a course or part of a course due to adverse weather, equipment failure, or any other reason, a booking will be transferred to a date suitable for both SCSC and the course participant. If we cannot reschedule a full refund will be made.

  • All cancellations and transfers require 14 days prior notice to the course start date.

  • In the event that a course participant, through illness or otherwise, misses the start of (or any part of) the course, SCSC are under no obligation to offer completion of the course, any refund, or to transfer the booking.

  • Personal accident insurance is the responsibility of the course participant. Course participants are advised to take out personal insurance for any courses to cover missing the course, cancellation, curtailment, personal injury, accident, damage to or loss of personal equipment, or any other reason either caused by the course participant or beyond their control.

  • Course participants using their own equipment do so at their own risk and SCSC will accept no liability for damage of loss howsoever caused. The course participants own equipment must have suitable insurance cover and minimum buoyancy appropriate to their height, weight and build.

  • All course participants and visitors accompanying the course participant must adhere to the SCSC rules and any other processes or procedures that may be in force at the time of the course.

SCSC reserves the right to vary course details, dates, and prices without prior notice.
