Training

Members benefit from our status as an RYA Accredited Training Centre running a range of courses for members for dinghy sailing and powerboat operation. Members can book the following RYA 2024 course dates:

28/29 May: RYA Youth Stage 1/2

6/7 July: RYA Adult Level 1, Level 2; RYA Youth Stage 1/2

17/18 August: RYA Adult Level 1, Level 2; RYA Youth Stage 1/2

Please note that you need to be a club member before you can sign up for our training courses. Courses will only be able to run subject to minimum uptake; should a course not have sufficient uptake then we will do our best to find alternative dates, although this cannot be guaranteed. We may be able to run additional courses should there be enough demand and instructor availability.

For youth courses, a parent or guardian is required to be on site at all times.

Course fees 2024 are £115 for youth courses, £130 for adult courses.

Informal Training

We also run informal training at fleet level with coaches often coming in from outside the club to support specific requirements. Most importantly, time on the water is key to learning and improvement. This is supported by our lake being open to members 24-7 and helped by our membership all willing to provide guidance and advice and there is a wealth of experience to draw on.
