On The Water
South Cerney SC allows a wide range of watercraft on the lake
Our club promotes participation of sailing and related water sports.
This includes craft powered by wind or paddle including:
Sailing Dinghies
This includes any dinghy with an RYA PY number equal to or between that of an RS400 and Cadet. Fixed keel boats are not allowed, except for the Flying Fifteen.
Dinghies at the club range from family-based cruising boats to high performance racing craft. There is plenty of room for everybody.
Secure berths are available in the boat park.
Windsurfers
Mostly sailed when the wind is up but equally great to potter around the lake.
Secure storage is available on racks in a secure garage, subject to space.
Kayaks
A great way to get on the water and chill out.
Storage available within a berth.
SUPs
A stand up paddle board is another great way of getting afloat and great for exercise.
Normally inflatable and removed from site between use.
On the right is listed some of the fleets we have at the club, each with a fleet captain who provides support to that fleet.
The only power boats on the water are those for club maintenance, safety, training and race management. You will not need to compete for water with a powered craft.
