Sailing Dinghy Fleet - 2026
All RYA sailing courses at South Cerney Sailing Club RTC are run using our dedicated Training fleet which comprises:
- * 3no. Hartley Wayfarer dinghies
- * 1no. Laser Bahia
- * 6no. Laser Pico dinghies
- * 1no. Topper dinghy
The Laser Picos are versatile single-handed dinghies which can be rigged with a jib for double-handed sailing. To date we have used them for the advanced Youth Stage 3 and Stage 4 courses but during 2026 we aim to trial them as single-handers on some of the adult courses.
The Topper dinghy is a single-hander which can be rigged with a small mainsail (i.e., 4.2 m2) to suit a younger or lighter student on our Youth Stage 1 and Stage 2 courses. Additional Toppers are available from the Club Hire Fleet for use on specific Youth courses if required.
