SCSC Lockdown 5th November 2020
Published 16:17 on 6 Nov 2020
Following the latest Government COVID-19 restrictions of the 5th November 2020 and further guidance from the RYA we have no alternative than to completely close the club. Obviously the safety of our members, families and the community are our highest priority. This decision has not been taken lightly and we have explored all options available to us but, like many other clubs, we have to close the doors until the situation changes.
Therefore the grounds are now locked down and completely closed for all activity including social visits.
- No on water activity for organised events or exercise.
- No visiting the club to maintain, collect or return your boat or equipment.
- The clubhouse and toilets are closed.
Members are not permitted to attend the site with the exception of some specific people who can gain access for Club Maintenance and Security requirements with the express permission of the Flag Officers.
We will be reviewing the situation continuously and will modify the status as the situation changes as quickly as possible as we did earlier this year. Please be assured we are all affected by this and want to be able to re open the club in some way as soon as possible and thank you for your support in the meantime.
If you have any questions please consult any member of the COVID-19 Team or respond to this announcement.
