You might well be wondering what is a 'Super Saturday'.

At South Cerney SC we are committed to helping members get the best from their membership and to help them get on the water and develop their sailing skills. As part of this commitment every Saturday from Spring through to Autumn we aim to have an experienced member on site to coordinate a range of activities which include:-

  • Free sailing sessions in the morning using 2 handed 420 sailing dinghies
  • Help and assistance with hire of other club boats
  • Help and assistance with basic setting up of your own boat
  • Help and advice to get you on the water
  • Basic on the water and onshore coaching
  • Induction sessions on club hire boats

Buoyancy aids and boats are provided free to members so you just need to turn up dressed to go sailing and enjoy the fun.

The coordinators that will be on site are Malcolm James, Liz MacDonald, and Paul Kimmens and they are your 'go to' people on Saturdays for help and advice. They are all very experienced and keen to help you get on the water. Please do not hesitate to contact them for help and advice.

They will be taking it in turns to be Super Saturday co-ordinator and the rota will be posted in the Super Saturday Forum on the website.

Please do come along on Saturdays and make use of this initiative, there will be updates on the Super Saturday Forum and you can post questions, ideas, etc, etc.

If you want further information or have any queries you can always contact one of the coordinators who will be glad to help.

Paul Kimmens
