International 420

The International 420 Class Dinghy is a double-handed (2 crew) dinghy. The name describes the overall length of the boat in centimetres (the boat is exactly 4.2 metres long). The boat is designed to allow use with a conventional spinnaker and a trapeze. However the club boats do not have spinnakers, and the boat can be sailed in moderate wind conditions without the use of a trapeze, which is needed more for when the boat is sailed by lightweight youth sailors.
