Laying up Supper and Presentation Evening

We have finally got there, after a long season it's time to give out the prizes. We are pleased to let you know that you have Won or Placed in a series or Trophy Day this season at South Cerney Sailing Club.

The Sailing Committee would like to Formally invite you to the annual prize-giving on the 9th of December at The Sailing Club following the Laying Up Supper.

This year the meal will be provided by Kean Gunton and his assistants with a menu (below) like that he produced for the Hot Dog Social.

The Laying Up supper will start at 7 PM.

There will be a Free Drink on Arrival, followed by Canapés and a Causal 2 Course meal.

Price is £10 for Adults & £5 for under 16s.

Places will be limited to 50 and prebooking is essential, there will be no tickets available on the night. Bookings to be made by Members, Guests are welcome.

The cost will be £10.00 for adults, and £5.00 for under 16s.

For anyone wishing to attend the presentation only there will be no charge.

Probable Menu:

• Parmesan coins
• Bruschetta pea and avocado
• Pork bacon and sage wellydog with small potatoes, green beans, homemade slaw, brussel sprout slaw, side vegetables, fresh sauces and condiments.
• Gluten free apple cake and custard
• Cerney Mess (a variation on Eton mess)
• Panettone trifle cake with cream and pomegranate.
• Vegetarian /vegan options are available by prior arrangement.

This is an evening to celebrate everyone's hard work on the water throughout the season, so we would love all winner to attend to receive their Trophies and Prizes.

If you want to brave the weather, there is camping available.

Booking Tickets

Members can book up to 6 tickets for family members or guests.

The price is £10 for Adults and £5 for under 16s, payable at the event on the night.

Please note if you book and don't show up you still need to make payment, as the food will be ordered based on those booking.

The supper is for pre bookings only. There will be no new bookings accepted after the close time at 23:59 on 8th December 2023.
