Race Officer Training 2019

Fri 1st March and Friday 8th March.

By popular demand the 'pasty and pint' race officer training course is back again for 2019.

The course is held over two Friday nights and on each night you get a free pasty and a free pint (or equivalent soft drink) and free tea/coffee. Your instructor will be Paul Kimmens who has a wealth of race management knowledge and experience both at the club and at national and international events including being part of the race management team at the 2012 Olympics.

The aim of the course is to provide attendees with  general race management knowledge and to provide specific information relating to race management at South Cerney SC.

No prior race management experience is required.

The course is ideal for anyone who would like to undertake race officer duties at the club or just wants to know a bit more about what the racing flags and sound signals mean.

The course starts promptly at 18.30 and runs until 21.30  but aim to arrive at approx 18:00 to allow time to enjoy your free pasty

The course fee is just £10:00 which is a real bargain.  With Christmas in mind it is an ideal stocking filler.

To book your place please contact Paul Kimmens, pkdj@sky.com, 07788 299788.
