Admiral Bartletts team win the team racing series!

In gusty F3/F4 windy conditions Ian Bartlett (now known as Admiral Bartlett) and his team took the honours in the final of the team racing series  against the Solo team, captained by Vernon Perkins .

It was a hectic start to the final match with three emergency rudder repairs being required before the 1st race. Some great team work by those on shore and on the water saw all 6 boats back on the water very quickly so the start was not delayed too much.

The conditions made for some exciting racing but in the end Admiral Bartletts team won the final by  5 races to nil.  In fact throughout the series they have not lost a single race and were deserved winners of this inaugral team racing series.

Admiral Bartlett praised his team performance saying 'it was a real team effort and a great result'.  He only managed to sail one race in the series himself  but obviously this paid dividends as he was able to focus on managing the team to victory.

Well done to everyone who took part in the series not forgetting the race management teams, Pam in the galley for serving up some great bar meals after racing each week, and everyone who helped prepare/repair boats each week.
