November Asymmetric News

Dear all,

It has been another great year at the club, with some fantastic sailing. It has been good to see our RS Vareo fleet increasing, giving us some good competitive sailing. We have had a good number of RS200s on the water too, making these 2 boats our most popular asymmetrics at the club. However, no matter what class of asymmetric you sail, there is always great fun to be had on the water, and an excellent social scene off the water.

My thoughts are now turning to next year's programme and I am pleased to be able to give you advanced notice of a couple of key dates in the asymmetric calendar so you can get them in your diary now.

  • Saturday 9th May 2015 will be our main asymmetric training day. Leon Ward from the RYA will be with us once again to give both some theory and on the water practice. It will be a great opportunity to ask those burning questions on improving your techniquie, then try new skills out on the water.
  • Saturday 6th June 2015 will be our asymmetric open meeting. With courses set for the asymmetric fleet, it should be a great day of asymmetric sailing.

More details will follow later.

In the meantime, the Frostbite Series has just started - hope to see you there!
