The SCSC Solo fleet out and about again

19th March 2016, saw the National Solo Class Association’s Noble Marine Solo Winter Championships being held at Chew Valley Lake Sailing Club, the first of the Super Series events.  South Cerney Sailing Club was represented by Guy Lonsdale and Vernon Perkins who braved the cold 10-15mph easterly breeze to compete in a very high class field.  Guy, 5469, rounded the day off with 18th overall scoring a great 12th and 20th, Vernon, 5282, finished in 38th overall scoring a 30th and 33rd out of 52 boats. The event was won by Charlie Cumbley with Andy Davies 2nd and Andrew Wilde 3rd but they were never that far ahead.

Only a couple of weeks now until the NSCA Spring Championships at Draycote Water on 9th April.  The team are looking forward to getting out again and hoping some more of our fleet will join them.
