Corinium Cup Trophy Day

After the busy weekend we woke to a glorious Bank holiday Monday for the Corinium Cup, the 2nd trophy day in the Coot and Cannon club championship series sponsored by Milanes Foils and Starsound Express Disco.

The wind was very light and it looked like the 1st race might be postponed but it filled in and 1st race got under way in shifty variable conditions with Andy Miles taking 1st place.

After lunch the wind picked up but was shifting all over the place giving the Race Officer, Robin Birkett, a bit of a headache trying to set a course.

Andy Miles took 1st place in the 2nd and 3rd races making it a hat trick of bullets and taking the top spot in the seniors.

Catriona Wallace and Charlotte Ashworth also took three bullets to win the Junior Trophy.

There were 22 entries in total which is an excellent turnout for a Bank Holiday.

Results as follows:-

Seniors
1st Andy Miles - Solo
2nd Al Sim - Laser
3rd  Mike Weeks - Solo

Juniors
1st Catriona Wallace  / Charlotte Ashworth - 420
2nd Ali Wallace - Laser

Tristan won the prize draw at the prize giving.
