Best ChilliDog Series to Date

With winter slowly drawing to a close, and the main summer season beckoning, we say goodbye to the winter ChilliDog Series for another year.
Despite the generally diabolical weather, the series was well supported with a surprising number braving the icy blasts.
Kevin's personal handicapping system evened the field and gave everyone a chance, which resulted in the closest finish so far, and many making that bit more effort once they saw they were in the running. It came down to the final race to fix the positions.
The pursuit series was won by Vernon Perkins, with team John Harvey (helm) / Dave Whittle/Barry Medwell in second place, Andy Schaffner in third place, team Tony Oatley/Terry Aliston in fourth, and Richard Leftley in fifth.
But Richard Leftley took the prize in the handicap series with first place, Andy Schaffner took second, Vernon Perkins third, team John Harvey/Barry Medwell fourth and team Tony Oatley/Terry Aliston fifth.
And despite the weather, I'm told by Kevin that this was the best ChilliDog series to date.
It will all be happening again next year.
And now we look forward to soon seeing everyone out in force for the Spring/Summer series, cruising, windsurfing and just generally enjoying the club and its excellent facilities.
