Flying Fifteen Open

South Cerney Sailing Club invites you to our Flying Fifteen "Cotswold" open meeting Saturday 9th and Sunday 10th September 2017 part of the Southern Travellers Series.

  • A six race event, (4 on Saturday and 2 Sunday)
  • First race on Saturday at 12.00, warning signal no earlier than 11.55, followed immediately by succeeding races.
  • First race on Sunday at 10.00, warning signal no earlier than 09.55, followed immediately by final race.
  • There will be a competitor breifing at 11.00 on Saturday.
  • Presentation in the Club House after the event on Sunday when the bar will be open.

Prizes will be presented for overall 1st place, 2nd place, 3rd place, 1st Classic fleet boat, 1st Silver fleet boat and highest SCSC classic boat not in the top 3 places

Entry only £25.00

South Cerney Sailing Club will be open to receive visiting competitors from 09:00 on Saturday 9th Sept.

Coffee/Tea and Lunch are available from our galley for a small charge.

Dinner and Bar available for Saturday evening  

Camping is available at the club or alternatively there are some very good hotels and guest houses in the area.

Note:

Prevention of the spread of invasive species

South Cerney Sailing Club is committed to the prevention of the spread of invasive species and as such we are following the Environment Agency and RYA guidelines – “CHECK CLEAN DRY”

Visiting or returning sailors before travelling to SCSC should take all reasonable measures to:

  1. CHECK – for plant material and animal species (e.g. shrimp, zebra mussel, weed)

  2. CLEAN – wash boats, launching trolleys and kit

  3. DRY – for as long as possible before event, at least 2 days recommended.

Please make sure your boat has been clean and dry for at least 2 days prior to your arrival. The entry form will require you to self-certify that this is the case. We also recommend that you check and wash your boat before leaving SCSC, facilities are made available for this.
